The Local Government Budget Analysis Tool (LGBAT) is an Excel-based tool that helps civil society organizations, community groups, and other stakeholders analyze local government budget data. It organizes budget information into simple summaries and visual dashboards, making it easier to understand how resources are allocated and spent.
Under the Civil Society Empowerment for Accountable Education (CSE) project, LGBAT can be used to examine education-related budget allocations, identify trends and gaps, and assess whether local government spending reflects education priorities and needs. The tool supports evidence-based discussion, advocacy, and engagement for more accountable and inclusive public resource allocation.
