Agenda

1. Introduction of the Civil Society for Empowerment for Accountable Education Project with the Local Government representatives especially the Educational representative
2. Understanding the needs and initiatives of Local Government
3. Recommendation of CSOs from the LGU

Purpose: To introduce the project to the local government unit and seek their recommendations on CSO activities within their Municipality.

Key Points Discussed:

• Sumiran Shrestha explained the project in detail in the presence of Ward Chairperson and Secretary.
• According to the data provided by the Ward Chairperson, there are 100-150 households in the ward, of which 17 are Sukumbasi households. To address the issues of the 17 Sukumbasi households, the ward has supported securing land to build houses for them.
• There is high foreign employment among ward members. The ward aspires to find ways to stop the youth from leaving the country and to help them become self-dependent and contribute to their own nation.
