Agenda

1. Introduction of the Civil Society for Empowerment for Accountable Education Project with the Local Government representatives especially the Educational representative
2. Understanding the needs and initiatives of Local Government
3. Recommendation of CSOs from the LGU

Purpose: To introduce the project to the local government unit and seek their recommendations on CSO activities within their Municipality.

Key Points Discussed:

• Mohan, Aakanshya and Bindeshwor explained about the Civil Society Empowerment for Accountable Education project in the presence of Deputy Mayor, Ratna Lama of Gujara Municipality. It was emphasized that this project will not involve direct implementing activities at the school level but will focus on strengthening policy and data-based advocacy in collaboration with the local government.
• The project team gathered recommendations from the palika representatives on the CSOs/ NGOs. working within their palika, who would be suitable for CSE’s learning collaborative.
• The project team also requests the Municipality to collaborate and cooperate in attaining the project's successful outcome.
• Additionally, the team from Karkhana Samuha also informed the palika about another potential educational initiative that Karkhana Samuha and Gujara Municipality can collaborate on the US Embassy’s Book Bus program. Potential areas for the book bus to station were also discussed.
