Education Out Loud is the world’s largest fund supporting both civil society advocacy and accountability for education with a funding envelope of US$133 million. $^1$
Financed by Global Partnership for Education, Education Out Loud is managed by Oxfam Denmark and overseen by GPE’s Board of Directors. $^1$
It’s divided into 3 operational components
Strengthen national civil society engagement in inclusive and gender responsive education policy development, implementation and monitoring
In early 2020, 54 National Education Coalitions from 54 different countries were each awarded a grant from Education Out Loud. The current EOL Operational Component 1 covers a total of 60 National Education Coalitions.
The Coalitions had earlier received grants from the Civil Society Education Fund under Global Partnership for Education. Through EOL they are continuing their efforts in strengthening civil society engagement in education planning, policy dialogue and monitoring at a national level.

Education Out Loud provides grants to national civil society organizations working on improving transparency and effectiveness of national education policies under Operational Component 2 (OC2). OC2 supports projects that seek to
The OC2 component thus aims to ensure that civil society groups in a selected number of countries can undertake strategic multi-level monitoring of education policy and budget implementation and use evidence gathering to develop accountability mechanisms and act on relevant policy solutions.
Ultimately, governments shall become more efficient and effective in delivering quality education services to children and young people, including marginalized and vulnerable communities. This way the OC2 grantees will contribute to:
